2600hz CEO and Co-Founder, Darren Schreiber joins us this week. 2600hz is a VoIP infrastructure company providing the easiest way for anyone (carriers, VARs and ITSPs) to offer and scale their own VoIP services or build their products on top of a fully supported telecom platform.
Within the past year the team has fully fleshed out their open source telecom platform named Kazoo. The platform is a mash up of open source tools such as FreeSWITCH, Erlang, BigCouch and AMQP that are implemented to offer a feature-rich enterprise telecom platform. They’ve since expanded their platform to offer a full enterprise-PBX as well as a hosted version named Kazoo BETA. For developers building their own telephony apps, 2600hz offers over 57 APIs that gives them full access to the building blocks of the entire platform.
Within the first two weeks of announcing the private BETA, they’ve had thousands of users including developers, carriers, and small business offices signing up to use the platform. In this talk, Darren Schreiber will be talking about their past year, all the newest updates to the platform, use cases, as well as where they’re headed from here.
